Vibrant strokes of ink-like color!
Derwent Inktense offers strong, intense color with a translucent effect. Available as pencils or blocks, the jewel-like colors can be used dry and then washed out completely to leave an ink-like effect. The pencils are highly blendable with a wide 4mm color core and round barrel.
The Inktense Blocks are a solid block of water-soluble ink. They are extremely versatile and can be used as pans of paint, applied dry to wet paper or wet to dry paper. The Inktense range can be used on fabric to create stunning silk paintings and quilts. The color is permanent so you can work other media over the top without disturbing the work underneath. (Note: all dry pigment must be thoroughly wetted first).
Derwent Inktense is available in 71 color pencils and a non-soluble outliner pencil, in tins of 12, 24, 36, 72 and a presentation wood box of 72. This year, the Inktense Blocks color range has been extended to 72 colors and they are now available in tins of 12, 24, 36 and 72. Both product ranges are available in open stock of 36 or 72.
The range is supported by 3 fun accessories; pastel Grippers, for a clean and easy hold, the Grate and Shake for creating colored ink and the Spritzer for fun spray effects.
