GOLDEN Heavy Body Cobalt Titanate Green
Due to the pigment being discontinued by the manufacturer, GOLDEN has found it necessary to discontinue Heavy Body Cobalt Titanate Green (GD1143-…) effective October 31, 2010.

The abrupt discontinuation in Heavy Body will allow us to retain as much pigment as possible for use in the OPEN Acrylic line.  Cobalt Titanate Green will remain available in the OPEN Acrylic product line for at least the next year.

For information about which Set-Ups will be affected by this change as well as recommended adjustments to those Set-Ups, please contact your MacPherson’s Sales Representative.

philgarrettOur first featured artist is Phil Garrett, South Carolina:
Phil Garrett
completed his undergraduate work at the University of South Carolina, and the Honolulu Academy, studying under Gabor Peterdi. He received his BFA at the San Francisco Art Institute in 1974. His work is in numerous public and private collections, including the Bank of America, and the State Collections of South Carolina and Hawaii. He is represented by Hodges-Taylor Gallery, Charlotte, North Carolina, and IF ART Gallery in Columbia, South Carolina.

In his spare time, Phil can be found playing early blues, jazz and hokum on his mandolin and guitar in a band, The Fine Art Ramblers, which he describes as “a gracious joy.”

What he says about his art:
“My Work is informed by nature, a kind of mythical nature.  The power of storms, the spiritual quality of the elements, the beauty, grace and ferocity of plants and animals….  Something greater than myself, something I can’t comprehend.  Painting and making monotypes is my search for the mystery within the subject, within myself….”
