Sanford’s October 2010 Art Dog News

• Make the Prismacolor Consumer Holiday Rebate a part of your overall promotional strategy for Holiday 2010. Purchases made between November 12, 2010 and January 15, 2011 are eligible for the rebate. Use in store signage or email blast advertising to show the final after rebate cost to your customer on those sets that qualify for the rebate. Prismacolor Premier Pencil Sets 48ct and higher will likely have retails that qualify for one of the rebate tiers. The Double Ended Marker Sets 24ct and higher will also have retails that qualify at one of the rebate tiers. Do the math for your customer so they can see the value being offered. This is a great sale builder for WBTS and Holiday.

Sharpie Liquid Pencil was recently recognized by Consumer Goods Technology magazine for outstanding achievement in the most innovative product category. MacPherson’s now has the Sharpie Liquid Pencil in all distribution centers. The positive buzz surrounding the introduction of this product continues, so be sure to have the product visible for your customers as they shop your store.  It has been approved for use on standardized tests and is equivalent to a standard #2 lead. It is available as a 1/cd with three spare erasers, 2/cd with six erasers, open stock not bar coded and a carded Liquid Lead refill. Consult your MacPherson’s representative for ordering details.

Sharpie Poster Paint Markers are alive and well. Over the course of the past two years you have been told that the water based paint marker line would be discontinued. We have not discontinued any open stock water based paint marker SKU’s. MacPherson’s carries all of these products in each DC.

• You will notice a new look to the Ebony Pencil Packaging. The SA1765400 and SA14425 have been re-branded as Prismacolor products. No change has been made to the product itself. Sanford will also re-brand the Design Kneaded, Art Gum and Magic Rub erasers as Prismacolor.
