MacPherson’s News – Transitions

Rich Rusnack

I am sorry to report that Rich Rusnack is no longer with MacPherson’s. His accomplishments and insights are greatly appreciated and I wish him well in his next endeavor.

In August of 2014 I announced the news that our board of directors and I had begun to create a succession plan that would provide for a strong managerial foundation at MacPherson’s long beyond Stu Beattie’s and my retirements. Back then I shared that while I was in no hurry to slow down it would be prudent to establish a succession roadmap for a gradual transition to a new leadership structure. That announcement was followed in March by the news I had appointed Rich Rusnack as President to lead the areas of Finance, Information Technology and Operations. During his time here he furthered our goal of positioning the company to thrive well into the future with the addition of new financial and technology leadership and infrastructure. I look forward to continued growth in this area over the coming year as we focus our efforts on delivering faster value-based service to our customers.

Chuck Bridges

In order to sustain the growth we have seen this year, I have decided to add a strong Finance and Operational Executive to the team. I am pleased to announce that Chuck Bridges will be joining the company within the next 30 days in the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and acting Chief Operating Officer (COO). He will be directly responsible for the areas of Finance, Operations and Technology. Chuck brings strong leadership skills, most recently he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Pacific Steel Casting Company in Berkeley, CA.

Lastly, I am excited to announce that Alison Norton-Nelson has been appointed to MacPherson’s Board of Directors. Alison is a graduate of Cornell University and has years of senior management and specialty retail experience. She is currently the Executive Vice President of business development at the Dallas based furniture maker David Sutherland, Inc. leading their design and product development teams. Alison has held leadership positions at Eddie Bauer, Williams-Sonoma and Michaels.
